Interval Run at Clear Creek

Overall this week felt solid. This is my first week of training consistently since Hawk 50 Mile at the beginning of September. During September and October I had weeks with good training but work and life got in the way at times.

Easy runs were right in the 135-140 average heart rate zone with average paces in the 9:15-9:30 per mile average. This is starting to stabilize back to pre-Hawk paces and efforts so recover and some rebuild is taking hold.

Base effort was also in the normal range with the one base run at 8:27/mile with an average heart rate of 150.

Intervals were 3x 10 minutes with 5 min jog between at LT2. Paces for the intervals were roughly 7:30 for the uphill and 7:00 for the downhill. Average elevation for the intervals was about 6800'.

I believe that I should bounce back quickly and fall back in line with previous paces and efforts. From there I hope to continue to build toward a nice Spring 100km race in 2026. Along the way I hope to move my average weekly volume from ~50 mpw to around ~75 mpw. I also had fair but not great consistency in the last build, I hope to tighten up the weekly volume moving forward.

Wednesday: AM - 45 Minutes Easy, PM - 3x 10 Minute Long Intervals

Thursday: 1 Hour 15 Minutes Easy - 8.19 Miles

Friday: 1 Hour Base - 7.10 Miles

Saturday: 2 Hours 30 Minutes Long Run - 15.3 Miles

Sunday: 1 Hour 15 Minutes Easy - 8.23 Miles
